The Trond Mohn Games return to Bergen on 28 May starring young Norwegian stars Henriette Jaeger, the reigning European U23 400m champion, and Hakon Moe Berg, the reigning European U20 1500m and 3000m champion.

The World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meet will be shown live on the European Athletics website from 7.05pm CEST. Live results can be found here.

Norway’s 22-year-old star, Jaeger, headlines the tough women’s 300m line-up. She won over this distance in both 2024 and 2025, clocking 35.46 in 2024 to come within 0.01 of the European best set by Irina Privalova in 1995.

Although Great Britain’s Nicole Yeargin, an Olympic, world and European relay bronze medallist, and Belgium’s European relay bronze medallist Naomi van den Broeck will also be taking to the track to challenge the home hero.

While the men’s 300m will see Andreas Kulseng return after taking the Norwegian record from Karsten Warholm last year when he ran an incredible 32.19.

Moe Berg will race over 800m for the first time outdoors this year as he continues his steady rise through the age groups and into the senior rankings.

However the 1500m/ 3000m specialist will come up against the reigning European U23 silver medallist, Justin Davies, and fellow Briton, Alex Botterill.

Germany’s Malik Skulpin Alfa and Slovenian Jan Vukovic will also be contesting over two laps who will both be racing over 800m for the first time outdoors this year.

The men’s hammer sees a stellar line up with five of Europe’s top seven throwers this year all entered in what will be a very tight competition.

Merlin Hummel, from Germany, currently holds a narrow lead in the European rankings with 81.27m ahead of Ukraine’s Mykhaylo Kokhan with 81.26m.

Hungarian duo of Bence Halasz, an Olympic silver medallist, three-time world bronze medallist, two-time silver and bronze European medallist, and European U20 champion Armin Szabados will also be competing having thrown 80.66m and 80.95m respectively.

Meanwhile the women’s hammer will see a preview of some of the top athletes expected to compete at the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships as Denmark’s Katrine Koch Jacobsen, Italy’s Sara Fantini, France’s Rose Loga, and Finland’s Krista Tervo will all take to the circle.

Fantini, the reigning European champion, has thrown 73.40m this year, but will be playing catch up with Jacobsen and Loga, a European bronze medallist, who have thrown 75.52m and 75.19m respectively this year.

In the women’s 800m, Italy’s Elena Bello and France’s Charlotte Dumas will challenge the home favourite Pernille Antonsen who will be opening her outdoor season.

Frenchman Romain Mornet is the fastest of the men’s 1500m field on paper but is yet to compete over the distance outdoors this year. He’ll come up against his compatriot Titouan le Grix, Britain’s Jack Higgins, who took bronze at the Lagoa 2025 SPAR European Cross Country Championships, and Finland’s Joonas Rinne.

The women’s 1500m will see Czechia’s Kristiina Maki, a former European Cross Country silver medallist, Britain’s Sarah Calvert, France’s Berenice Fulchiron, and Ireland’s Laura Nicholson and Jodie McCann all go head-to-head.

In the women’s 100m hurdles, France’s Sacha Alessandrini leads the field with the second fastest time by a European this year with 12.76.

However, she’ll be facing Hungary’s Anna Toth who will hold fond memories of Bergen as she took European U23 silver there last year.

Also amongst those joining them is Denmark’s Mette Kammer, and Norwegian duo Martine Hjornevik and Lovise Skarbovik Andresen.

While in the men’s high jump European silver medallist Tobias Potye, from Germany, will compete for the first time this season.

Marcus Thomsen is the home favourite in men’s shot put and will open his outdoor season after throwing a best of 20.63m in February.

However, he’ll face Italy’s Nick Ponzio who has already thrown 21.19m this year and currently sits third in the European rankings for 2026.

The pole vault sees Norway’s Lene Retzius and Pal Lillefosse lead the men’s and women’s fields as they look to provide a double home victory.
